The security forces of breakaway Somaliland have arrested a truck driver who overruns three children in Hargeisa on Monday.
This horrific incident
According to the police officer who reached the area immediately, the driver was planning to escape from the scene after the incident.
The driver was moved to the central police station in Hargeisa where his investigation is underway.
Two of the children died on the spot while the third one who was rushed to hospital while at critical condition died while undergoing treatment, the father of the three children Abdullahi Suleiman confirmed to the local media.
The commander of traffic police in Hargeisa stated that the driver of the truck was over speeding during the accident.
The commander added that the driver will be arraigned in court after the investigations are over.
Most of the road accidents that occur in Somaliland are attributed over speeding and recklessness of the drivers.
