Hargeisa (Halbeeg News) – Somaliland opposition party, Waddani has called on the authorities to launch an investigation into the murder of its senior official Abdifatah Abdillahi Abdi Hadrawi who was killed last night.
Unidentified gunmen have killed Hadrawi in Lasaanood in the Sool region. According to sources, the official was shot dead by the gunmen on his way home from the mosque.
The presidential candidate of the Waddani Party, Abdirahman Abdillahi Irro in a Facebook post condemned the murder of the official, extending condolence to the family and relatives and friends of the late Hadrawi.
“I am sending my deepest condolences to all the family, relatives, elders, intellectuals, and the community of the Sool region over the demise of Abdifatah Abdillahi Abdi Hadrawi. May God have mercy on the late Abdifatah Abdillahi Abdi-Hadrawi, who was killed in Lasakano last night,” said Irro.
Irro said that Hadrawi was one of the officials of the Waddani party and was on the list of reserved seats in the Somaliland House of Representatives.
He called on the government of Somaliland to quickly arrest and bring to justice the gunmen who killed Hadrawi.
