HARGEISA (Halbeeg News) – Somaliland authorities have executed six prisoners for murder on Thursday.
Reports says the execution took place in Mandera prison in Somalia’s northern region.
The six men were sentenced to death for murder of people in different places in Somaliland.
The prisoners have been in prison for years as the execution was waiting for go ahead by Somaliland leader.
Local and international human defenders have expressed concern over the execution as some claimed the victims could pay blood money.
