HARGEISA (Halbeeg News) – Somaliland’s deputy leader Abdirahman Sayli’i has tested positive for COVID-19 and is being treated in Hargeisa town.
In a twitter post, Sayli’i announced on Monday that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
“I would like to inform the people of Somaliland that I have been dealing with COVID-19 for the last three days,” said Saylici on Twitter.
He also urged the people in Somaliland to follow the instructions of Health Ministry.
Somaliland ministry of health said, a total of 2.108 cases have been confirmed since mid-March last year when Somalia recorded its first case.
The total number of recoveries in Somaliland is now at 1,813 including 85 people who succumbed to the disease.
