BOSSASO (Halbeeg News) – Somalia’s Puntland State military court on Sunday sentenced a militant to death while four others were handed 20-year term jail after finding them guilty, officials said.
In a statement, Puntland State Army Court said the five were found guilty of belonging to both al-Shabab and Islamic States terrorists groups in Bosaso town today.
The court added that these militants were arrested in the latest military operations in the region, saying that the court also conducted other judgments on several fighters of al-Shabaab and ISIS fighters.
Puntland State is fighting against al-Shabab and IS militants in the remote areas of Bari region in northern Somalia in the last five years.
