Mogadishu, (Halbeeg News) – Federal government of Somalia’s information, Culture and Tourism minister Da’uud Aweys Jama Sunday launched a workshop aimed at enhancing media, government relations.
This three-day training session, attended by 40 members from various media relations offices, seeks to bolster the interaction between the Federal Government of Somalia and the media.
According to Abdullahi Xayir Duale, the Director General of the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism the workshop’s focus on developing an effective media approach to government information.
Duale expressed his gratitude to the African Transitional Mission in Somalia (ATMIS) for their invaluable support in facilitating this workshop.
Minister Jama highlighted the importance of collaboration and cooperation between government agencies in the realm of media and stressed the need for finding solutions to the challenges faced by the government in broadcasting and managing government information.
The Minister further emphasized that this training is part of the Ministry’s broader strategy to improve public interaction, ensure media access to information, and coordinate the messaging from various government agencies.
This initiative aims to present a unified, well-prepared, and structured message that supports the government’s agenda.
ATMIS has played a crucial role in making this workshop possible, demonstrating their commitment to supporting the Ministry’s efforts in fostering effective media relations.
