Somali Ministry is scheduled to hold talks with IMF and World Bank officials on Monday in the capital city of Kenya, Nairobi.
In a statement in last week, Somali Ministry for Finance said its officials will hold talks with IMF and World Bank to officials on the government’s plan to print new money for the country.
The country’s emblematic shilling notes which has been in circulation since 1990 when the country plunged into civil war.
The ministry pointed out that government is gearing up its initiatives to eradicate the counterfeit money to bring back the control of the country’s currency.
With the support of International Monetary Fund and World Bank, Somali government last year declared its plans to produce new currency for the first time in more than a quarter of a century.
