National Constitutional Convention aimed to review the constitutional process will today kick off in Mogadishu, the capital city of Somalia.
The conference is expected to convene over 250 stakeholders from across the country and Diaspora.
According to the Constitutional Affairs ministry, the participants will peruse chapter by chapter to review of the Provisional Constitution during the course of the conference.
Among the chapters, the stakeholders will discuss, are power sharing between the Federal Government and Member states, resources sharing and status of Mogadishu.
The event is scheduled to run for three days before the sides decide the fate of the provisional constitution.
The Constitutional Affairs ministry has been carrying out the constitutional review process for the last six years.
Somalia adopted the Provisional Constitution in 2012 after post-transitional government.
