MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somalia has recorded 242 cases of coronavirus for the last 24 hours after testing 1906 samples across the nation.
According to a statement by the health ministry, the disease killed 14 people, making total number of the victims killed by the virus 668.
The total cases recorded in Somalia since March last year stands at 13,079.
Sixty-seven people have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours. 5,411 people have so far recovered from the virus since the disease was in the country.
Last week, Somalia received 200,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine donated by China to boost the war against COVID-19 pandemic in the Horn of African State.
Last Wednesday, Somalia’s health ministry rolled out doses of Sinopharm vaccine.
