The president of federal republic of Somalia, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has received credential letters from the new ambassador of Belgium Nicolas Nihon in a brief welcoming ceremony held at the presidential palace.
President Farmajo and ambassador Nihon discussed in lengthy the bilateral relationship between the two countries and agreed to cement the relations.
The new ambassador conveyed greetings from the leaders of his country to Somali president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo.
Somali president wished the new ambassador, Mr. Nicolas Nihon success in his new position.
On his side the new ambassador of Belgium, Nicolas Nihon promised to work closely with the federal government of Somalia and keep away from anything that will violate the unity of Somalia.
Belgium is among the few European countries that support the progress and rebuilding of Somalia.
