The deputy Prime Minister of federal government of Somalia, Mahdi Mohamed Guleid has met with delegation from European Union and Atlanta Anti-Piracy on board Italian of Warship.
The European Union delegation was accompanied by ATLANTA Anti-piracy Operation commander.
They discussed on wide range issue including the mission’s relation with Somalia.
Guleid commended the Mission for its commitment for eradicate piracy and support for Somalia.
“I met with delegates from EU accompanied by the General Commander of Atlanta Anti-piracy Operation,” said Guleid.
The Deputy Prime Minister said he discussed with the officials on Piracy and means to safeguard Somalia’s waters.
“We talked about the relations between Somalia and the Mission, means to step up operations against piracy,” he noted.
European Union applies a multi-agency to its support for Somalia based on active diplomacy, security sector and illegal fishing on Somalia’s waters.
