ANTALYA (Halbeeg News) – Somali foreign minister, Mohamed Abdirizak Mohamud has held talks with his with his Azerbaijani counterpart, Jeyhun Bayramov on the sidelines of Antalya Diplomacy Forum.
In a statement, Somali foreign ministry said the ministers’ discussion focused on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation in several areas of mutual benefit between the two brotherly countries and peoples.

The developments in the Middle East and the Gulf, the eastern Mediterranean, the Southern Caucasus, Africa, Asia and Europe, the fight against extremism and discrimination, the global fight against terrorism and the future expectations in energy are some of the thematic topics that will be discussed during the two-day forum.
A new era has begun in the relations between Somalia and Azerbaijan, as the Somali ambassador, Jama Abdullahi Mohamed, presented his credentials to the Azerbaijani President, Ilham Aliyev, on June 12, as a non-resident ambassador, which consolidates the historical ties between the two countries.
