ANKARA ( Halbeeg News) – Somalia and Turkish Governments have signed a memorandum of understanding in Ankara on Wednesday.
Somalia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation HE Amb. Ahmed Isse Awad held bilateral talks with his Turkish Counterpart His Excellency Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu in Ankara.
The two diplomats signed an agreement to enhance cooperation and partnership between the two ministries.
The foreign ministers of the two countries also discussed bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them to serve common interests in various fields.
The memorandum of understanding signed between the two ministers provides for cooperation in diplomatic training and exchange of information and documentation between Somalia and Turkey.
Somalia and Turkey have strong diplomatic relations since the visit of Prime Minister Now President, Tayyip Erdogan in August 2011.
The bilateral relations between the two nations is backed by the defense and humanitarian pact.
