MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News) – Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheyre hold talks with Russian ambassador to Somalia, Mikhail Golovanov in Mogadishu on Tuesday.
The four eyed discussions focused on ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation between Mogadishu and Moscow.
The Somali premier stressed the need to boost the diplomatic ties between his country and former soviet union state.
On his side, ambassador, Mikhail Golovanov pledged that President Vladimir Putin government is ready support efforts to boost security, economy and education in the strategic horn of the African state.
Somalia and Russia shared close diplomatic cooperation rejuvenated by defense cooperation before former allies parted their ways following soviet support for Ethiopia on 1977 war between two neighboring countries.
