MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somali State minister foreign, Abdikadir Ahmed Kheir has held mee and Norway have held discussions in the Somali capital, Mogadishu.
In a statement, the ministry said the sides discussed wide range issues.
Among the issues discussed are cooperation, bilateral relations, and other mutual interests.
“Officials from the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Kingdom of Norway held fruitful bilateral discussions, anchored in the spirit of an enduring partnership, friendship and pursuit of mutual interests,” the statement reads in part.
The statement noted that Norway is a committed partner to Somalia’s National Development, inclusive politics, social development, security, and justice.
According to the statement, The two sides reaffirmed their commitment to further deepen their bilateral engagement through an enhanced strategic partnership.
They underpinned their strong working relationship and the need to synergize their efforts towards the advancement of their interests.
The Norwegian delegation was led by Director General for Regional Affairs, Tine Mørch Smith.
