CAIRO (Halbeeg News) – Somalia and Egyptian have agreed to enhance their bilateral relations between the two countries after Somali Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble and Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry met in Cairo on Tuesday.
In a statement, Egyptian foreign ministry said the two top officials discussed the efforts to boost bilateral cooperation, while highlighting “the historical relations” between the two countries.
They also discussed a number of regional issues of common interest, according to the statement.
Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed on Tuesday that his country supports Somalia and is keen to provide all kinds of assistance to the Somalis.
The ministry said Egypt was keen to back Somalia and offer different forms of support to it.
The Somali premier’s accompanying delegation comprised the Somali ministers of foreign affairs, education, higher education, and culture.
