MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News) – 150 teachers drawn from various primary schools in the country have concluded workshop on new curriculum on Tuesday.
The teachers who underwent training of trainers’ workshop will help their fellows across the country in the full implementation of new syllabus introduced by the Ministry of Education last year.
State Minister for Education, Abdirahman Abdullahi Jabiri said the government is fully committed to applying new school curriculum across the country.
Jabiri added that the new course for Somali learners is strongly based on religion and patriotism.
The Somali government is in an effort to reform the education sector which is among institutions that were affected by civil strife in the early 1990s.
Before the break out the of civil war, the Somali education system was among one of the best in the continent.
