MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somali spy agency has said its officers have arrested the mastermind behind double suicide car bomb attack in Mogadishu on Saturday.
National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) said on its Twitter account that its forces nabbed the mastermind behind the deadly bombings that claimed lives of more than ten people.
“Our officers have arrested the ringleader of today’s deadly car bomb attacks following a tip by members of the public.” Said tweet post.
“The driver of the second car detonated himself after security personnel identified his motive and relocated members of the public to save area.” It added.
More than ten people have been killed and scores others were wounded in the Al-Shabaab claimed twin attack near the national theatre.
Popular Somali TV presenter Awil Dahir and fellow staff at Universal TV were among those killed in the attack.
Member of the federal parliament, Warsame Jodah, and Mogadishu deputy mayor Abdullahi Tulah were among those wounded in the attack.
