MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News) – Somali speaker and UN Deputy Special Representative discuss cooperation between Federal and Regional state institution.
The speaker of the Lower House of Somali Parliament, Mohamed Mursal Sheikh met with the UN Deputy Special Representative, Raiseson Zanega on Tuesday.
The two discussed the election laws recently approved by the parliament and cooperation between the federal government and federal member states.
The meeting also deliberated the debt cancellation process, economic support, peace and stability efforts.
The UN Deputy Special Representative, Raiseon Zanega together with UNDP’S Jocelyn Mason shared the development plans of the respective organization with an ambassador, Mohamed Mursal Sheikh.
Federal member states in the country are opposed to a recent electoral law approved to the lower house of parliament.
