The prime minister of federal government of Somalia, Hassan Ali Khayre who is in 2 days visit to Djibouti has visited Ali Adde district in Ali Sabih region that hosts dozens of Somali refugees.
Speaking to Somali refugees at their camps, PM Khayre stated that he liked to greet Somali nationals in the camps and get familiar with their situation.
“The federal of government led by President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo is the government of the people and you are the citizens of Somalia, therefore, I as the premier I found it necessary to come and visit you here since I came to Djibouti” PM Khayre said.
Somali prime minister told the Somali refugees that the security of the country has improved and urged them to go back to their home country.
He expressed gratitude to the government of Djibouti for hosting Somali refugees and keeping it is borders open to the Somali people that fled the country during the civil war.
During his visit to Djibouti, he held meeting with President Ismail Omar Guelleh at the presidential palace. Their discussions focused on strengthening the relations between the two countries and strengthening the security.
Prime Minister Khayre appreciated the role of Djiboutian soldier under AMISOM and the support of the Djiboutian government in Somalia in terms of security and development.
