Somali president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo leading a large delegation arrived Baidoa, Bay regional headquarters on Sunday.
On landing at Shatigaduud airport in Baidoa, president Farmajo and his delegation were received by South West president Sharif Hassan Sheikh Aden, senior officials from the state and civil society from all walks.
The delegates were immediately escorted to South West presidential palace which is adjacent to the airport.
President Farmajo is expected to chair the national security conference that will open in Baidoa today.
Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Khayre and leaders of Puntland and Galmudug states reached Baidoa before hours.
The remaining heads of state are expected to reach Baidoa before sunset.
The security of the city was tightened as main road leading to the airport and presidential palace was locked down.
