President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has postponed his trip to Qatar to intervene the escalating political crisis in the Country.
The President was planning to jet off to Doha town for three day state visit on Sunday.
Sources privy to the trip cancellation told Halbeeg that the President reached the decision after he was pressurized to lead the efforts to resolve the brewing row between the the executive and legislative arms.
Mr. Farmajo is expected to spearhead efforts to bring Prime minister, Hassan Ali Kheire and House Speaker, Mohamed Osman Jawaari to the negotiating table.
The move comes hours after the Upper House appointed seven-member ad hoc committee to mediate the two leaders.
The speaker of the Senate House, Abdi Hashi will lead the committee.
