Somali President Mohamed Farmaajo has left for Qatar after receiving an official invitation from Qatar authorities.
The plane carrying the delegation of President Farmaajo took off from Adan Adde International Airport shortly after 12 pm.
The President’s visit was slated for March before it was called off for unspecified reasons.
President is expected to hold discussions with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamed Al-Thai over wide range issues.
Among issue, the leaders will be discussing are the bilateral relationship between the two countries, trade and the development projects Qatar pledged to implement in Somalia.
The trip of the president will be the second one since coming to office last February 2017.
