MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News) – Somali President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has named a committee of inquiry to investigate the skirmishes happened the Baldweyne neighborhood Kalabeyr in Hiiran region on Wednesday that caused the death of senior police commander.
The committee chaired by the commander of the custodian corps, General Bashir Mohamed Jama will examine the clashes between two sides near Beledweyne on Tuesday.
Other members of the committee include officials from the judiciary and the armed forces court.
According to the chair of the committee, the findings will be submitted to the chief justice office for possible action.
The Hiiran region police commander, Mohamed Maow Halane was among those killed during fighting in Kalabeyr.
The skirmishes are attributed to political differences between the regional leader, Mohamed Abdi Warre and Hiiran governor, Yusuf Ahmed Hagar.
Dabaged was dismissed by president Waare on Monday but described the move unconstitutional.
He accused Hirshabelle state leader of mismanaging the revenue collections in the state.
