Somali prime minister, Hassan Ali Kheire travelled to Washington, United States, to attend the conference on challenges facing developing countries.
The plane carrying the prime minister’s delegation departed Adan Adde International Airport in Mogadishu on Saturday evening.
Deputy Prime minister, Mahdi Mohamed Gulled led senior government officials in seeing off the Prime minister, Kheire.
During the meeting, Kheire will address some of key developments that his government made the year 2017.
The participants of the conference who are largely from developing countries are expected to discuss the common challenges facing their countries including education, health and infrastructure.
World Bank in partnership with other organizations has organized the conference which willrun for three days.
During his stay in Washington, the prime minister is scheduled to hold meetings with the different leaders who participating in the conference
