MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somali prime minister, Mohamed Hussein Roble on Monday is expected travel to Cairo, the capital of Egypt after invitation by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
According to sources at the office of PM, Roble and his delegation will be leaving the country in the forthcoming hours.
The sources say the prime minister and the Egyptian president, Sisi will be holding talks on Somali and Egyptian bilateral relations.
During visit, the prime minister is also scheduled to meet with senior Egyptian officials and members of the Somali community in the north African country.
Last week, Somali PM last week left for maiden trip to Kenya where he held talks with Uhuru Kenyatta over the bilateral relation Somali and Kenya.
The two leaders agreed to restore relations and collaborate more in areas such as security, trade and investment.
Somali PM urged Kenya’s president Uhuru Kenyatta to leave the maritime border dispute to the International Court of Justice.
The agreement follows after lengthy talks between Somalia Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Rooble and Kenyan president Uhuru Kenyatta at the coastal town of Mombassa.
President Uhuru welcomed restoration of the Kenya-Somalia diplomatic ties, and underscored the importance of stability in national and regional development saying, economic growth is only possible in a peaceful environment.
