Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheire is scheduled to hold talks with the President of Djibouti, Ismael Omar Guelleh on Thursday.
A delegation led by Prime Minister Kheire arrived in Djibouti for a two-day state visit on Wednesday evening.
The Prime Minister was welcomed at the airport by his Djibouti counterpart, Abdikadar Kamil Mohamed and ChargĂ© d’affaires of Somali Embassy Djibouti, Abdirahman Mohamed Hirabe.
The two leaders are expected to discuss on the bilateral relations of the towns and issues of common interests of the two countries.
Prime Minister, Kheire will visit several places in Djibouti town before returning to the country.
Mr. Kheire is accompanied by cabinet Ministers for Foreign Affairs and Post Ahmed Isa Awad and Abdi Anshur Hassan respectively and State Minister for Defense Mohamed Ali Haga.
This is the first visit of Prime Minister Kheire to Djibouti since he assumed the office last year.
Djibouti sent hundreds of its troops to Somalia to help the government in the fight against Al-Shabab.
