MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News) – Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheyre said about great things his country can learn from fellow federal state of Germany.
The premier was speaking during an event to commemorate the German national Unity Day in Mogadishu embassy which marks the 30th anniversary of German reunification in 1990 when the Federal Republic of Germany (West Germany) and the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) reunited.
He said Mogadishu can learn a lot from Berlin when it comes to unity after division, implementation of federal system of government as well as resource sharing.
The PM outlined strong and trustful relationship between Somalia and Germany while commemorating 30th anniversary of fall of the Berlin Wall.
Bilateral relations between the two countries have picked up considerably over the past years.
Germany is now the third largest bilateral donor to Somalia.
Senior Somali government officials led by Prime Minister Kheyre, the speaker of Upper House, Abdi Hashi and other dignitaries attended the event.
