Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheire on Tuesday left the country for Brussels to attend a conference on Somalia’s security architecture.
The plane carrying Mr. Kheire and his delegates took off from Aden Adde International Airport shortly after 1 pm.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to address at the conference which convenes donors, security experts as well as government leaders.
The conference will focus on Somali National Forces rebuilding, the transitional plan set to be materialized before AMISOM’s exit.
Mr. Kheire and the delegates from Somali government will table the government’s plan on force integration and rebuilding of the army.
The conference is a follow up to last week’s meeting held in Mogadishu, which focused on the formation and equipping of Somali forces ahead of the withdrawal of African Union Mission troops in Somalia.
Somali government has been carrying out efforts to rebuild strong forces amid its forces backed AMISOM are confronting Al-Shabab fighters in parts of the country.
AMISOM troops who were drawn from five countries namely Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Djibouti and Burundi were deployed in Somalia to help the government in peace restoration process.
