DHUSAMAREB ( HALBEEG NEWS) – The Prime Minister of Somalia Mohamed Hussein Roble has arrived in Dhusamareb, the administrative capital of Galmudug state on Monday.
The premier and his team were welcomed by Galmudug leader Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qorqor.
According to the office of the Prime Minister, Mr. Roble will hold talks with the regional leaders on key issues including upcoming elections and recent security development in the region.
The Prime Minister kicked off the regional administration tour last week following his pledge at the Somali partnership forum in order to address election stalemate.
His meeting with the President of Puntland Saed Abdullahi Deni failed to reach a breakthrough following demands by the Garowe administration to withdraws troops from the border region of Gedo.
The chief minister is expected to tour Kismayo and Baido for similar consultations on elections.
More than ten opposition groups have raised their concerns about the credibility of upcoming Presidential elections in Somalia.
The parliamentary elections which were slated for December were postponed after Puntland and Jubbaland failed to submit their representatives to the federal election commission.
