MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheire has no official website registered with his names, sources confirmed on Wednesday.
The office of the PM has raised an alarm over a purported website trending on Social Media and also reported by some of the local media saying it is unauthorised and a scam”.
A reliable source at the office of the PM told Halbeeg News that the website: Hassankheire2020.com was unauthorised and has no link with the office of Mr. Kheire.
“It has come to our notice that there is a fake website that appears to have the names of Prime Minister Hassan Ali Kheire. We can confirm that there is no website officially registered with the names of the PM” the source said.
There have been reports published by the local media claiming the existence of a website created using the name and photos of the premier.
Meanwhile, the sources also confirmed that the PM has not started campaigns for the presidency.
“There is no campaign for 2020 election taking place at the office of Prime Minister Kheire at this moment,” he said.
Somalia is planning to hold universal suffrage (the right to vote of all adults) in 2020 for the first time after 52 years.
