Somali Lower House Parliament has called for the country’s Education Minister, Abdirahman Dahir Osman to appear before it to explain the distribution of schoolships.
The distribution of scholarships provided to Somalia by the country’s allies has led dispute.
There have been allegations of mismanagement of the scholarships and education benefits.
Members of the lower chamber of parliament through the parliament General Secretary Abdikarim Haji Buh said the minister will be asked the situation of 20th-December School in Mogadishu barely six days after floods caused by heavy rains pounded the city wreaked havoc on Mogadishu.
Several schools in the capital have been inundated with floods leading the government put off last Sunday’s national exams.
The officials discussed plans revived the country’s Technical Schools in the capital.
Mr. Hongtian pledged that his government will help in the reviving of the Technical Schools.
