MOGADISHU ( Halbeeg News) – Somali military court has today sentenced a soldier to death after he was found guilty of killing of three people.
According to a statement by the court, Hashi Ali Mohamed had killed three brothers deliberately.
The killing was prompted by a land dispute in Karan district in Mogadishu.
The court stated that Mohamed killed the victims were identified as Hassan Ahmed Abukar Hussein Ahmed Abukar and Abdullahi Ahmed Abukar in June 2018.
The prosecutors said the soldier escaped after the incident leading him to be at large for more than a year.
Somali military court found enough evidence supporting the case against Mohamed.
The statement by the court leadership stated the court handed the death penalty.
The convict was a month to seek an appeal from the high court.
