Somali Education Minister, Abdirahman Dahir Osman will today appear before the parliament mid allegations of scholarship mismanagement.
The parliament has summoned the last week to interrogate him over the management of the scholarships provided by the country’s ally countries.
In a statement by the Parliament General Secretary, Abdihakim Haji Buh, the members of the People’s House directed the minister to come before the Parliament.
The minister is also needed to give details about some of the public schools in the capital including 20th-December School. Dahir will also detail about the wages and rights of the ministry’s staff, according to the statement.
“I would like to urge you to appear before the members of the People’s House to answer several questions about the situation 20th-December School, the management of the scholarships and rights of the ministry’s staff,” reads the statement
Heavy rains that pounded the city a week ago have wreaked havoc on Mogadishu.
Several schools had been inundated with floods leading to learning disruption.
