Somali Deputy Prime Minister, Mahdi Mohamed Guled on Tuesday held talks with Denmark Ambassador to Somalia, Mette Knudsen in Mogadishu.
The two leaders discussed wide range issues including bilateral relations and development projects. Knudsen pledged that her government will help Somali government in peace and stability restoration process saying Denmark government wishes to see stable and strong Somalia.
On his part, speaking to media, Guled said he talked with the ambassador over the implementation of development projects.
He pointed out that the Scandinavian nation will help Somalia in the rebuilding process.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that he also discussed with Mette on the two countries long relations.
“I held meeting with Denmark ambassador to Somalia. We talked about the cooperation between Somalia and Demark. We also discussed on the implementation development projects which the government of Denmark launches in the country,” Guled said.
On Monday Mette held discussions with officials from African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) where she pledged support for the continental forces.
The ambassador commended the mission saying AU played very crucial point in the process to stabilise Somalia. She underscored the need for strong Somali forces who can the responsibility of the country’s security.
