MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somali government constitutional affairs ministry has held a consultative meeting on the draft copy on Saturday.
The consultation that was lead by the minister, Salah Ahmed Jamac also brought together members from the parliamentary committee on constitutional review as well as the independent constitutional review and implementation committee.
The main agenda of the forum was based on the success of the constitutional review procedure in the country.
Constitutional minister Salah stressed the need for a comprehensive constitution and thus looking forward to closely work with various groups to achieve the goal.
“I am committed to cooperate with all so as to have complete constitution on time,” the minister told the members during the consultation meeting.
“Lets us know that the constitution we are working on now will be here for generations to come.” He added.
The officials from the ministry for constitution affairs, the members from the parliamentary committee on constitutional review as well as the representatives of the independent constitutional review and implementation committee who attended the significant meeting agreed to continue consultation process by harmonizing for another high-level meeting for discussions in forthcoming weeks.
