LONDON ( Halbeeg News) – London based European CEO which is a leading subscription-based print and online publication named Somali businesswoman, Amina Hersi Moge as African Entrepreneur of the year.
Born in western Kenya but originally from Northern Somalia, Hersi who currently resides in Kampala has established a business empire in Uganda which has succeeded in recent years.
The pioneer of the Horyal Investment company which failed to join accounting college has a multimillion-dollar estate in the East African nation including Oasis Mall and recently established Atiak Sugar Factory in the northern part of the agricultural rich country.
The sugar firm which occupies more than 16,000 acres of land has the capacity to produce 50,000 tonnes of sugar daily.
The factory also created more than 1,500 jobs which gave special attention to women and minority groups a move that was praised by the government.
