Galcakyo, (Halbeeg News) – The Somali National Army Monday conducted joint operations with the Maawisley targeting Al-Shabaab hideouts in several villages in southern Mudug region in central Somalia.
Official government sources say the force took control of villages in the area and pushed away Al-Shabaab militants. The militants fled towards parts of Harardhere district.
The operations took place in the areas of Barag Hurdaye, Gal Dhagaweyne, and Tawar Mooge villages in Mudug region.
The allied forces have recaptured several towns and villages in central Somalia since the operation began in July 2022.
