NAIROBI (Halbeeg News) – At least six passengers have been injured near Kenya’s border with Somalia after the vehicle was ambushed by gunmen.
A public service vehicle (PSV) travelling to Mandera town was attacked by unidentified armed men this morning.
According to some of the passengers who survived the attack, a Land Cruiser was sprayed with bullets at War-gaduud village.
Witnesses say six people including three in critical condition were injured.
The victims are said to have been transported to Elwak town.
The number of passengers who were in the vehicle when it was attacked has not yet been established.
It is not yet clear the motive behind the attack on the vehicle.
The authorities in Mandera County have not commented the latest attack.
