MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Security beefed up in Mogadishu for the opening ceremony of the 5th session of the parliament.
Major roads across the Somali capital, Mogadishu has been shut to beef up the security for the opening session of parliament’s fifth session.
Motorists were directed to alternative routes from the destination of the house of the people session.
Members of the Somali house of the people who just returned from recess are expected to deliberate on the draft constitution, security among others agendas.
President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo is scheduled to open the session on Wednesday officially.
Senior government officials including the cabinet ministers, security chiefs, UN officials, members of the diplomat core will also attend the important national assembly meeting which is taking place at General Kahiye police academy hall.
