Saudi Arabia on Friday condemned yesterday’s bomb blast which claimed the lives of over 17 people.
In a statement by Foreign Ministry, Saudi expressed its solidarity with the people and the government of Somalia.
“The government of Saudi Arabia strongly condemns and denounces the explosion that took place in front of a hotel in Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu,” reads the statement.
In the statement, Saudi Arabia also condoled with the victims of the attack.
”We extend condolences to the families and the government of Somalia, We also wish quick recovery to those injured in the blast,” the Saudi mourned.
Car loaded with explosives had exploded near Wehliye Hotel, along the busy road of Makka Almukarama shortly before 5pm leading the death of over 17 people and left behind over 20 injuries.
Al-shabaab fighters claimed the responsibility for the attack occurred during the rushing hours.
According to the Internal Security Ministry, most of the victims are pedestrians and other people who were having tea near the hotel and sideways.
