GAROWE (Halbeeg News) – The leader of Puntland regional state of Somalia, Said Abdullahi Dani has invited the leadership of the federal and regional member states in the country for a consultation meeting in Garowe next month.
Speaking during a press conference in Garowe, the headquarters of Puntland regional state shortly after his return from a trip abroad, Dani extended his invitation to federal government leaders led by the president, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo and Prime Minister Hassan Kheyre together with all the leaders of the regional state administrators in the country.
“We will be having a brief consultation meeting before the holy month of Ramadan on 2nd May in Garowe,” Deni said, adding “The President, Prime Minister and the leaders of the regional states of Hirshabelle, Galmudug, Jubbaland, and Southwest will attend.”
Dani further said that the consultation meeting would focus on ways in which the federal government and members’ states can cooperate and strengthen their collaborations.
According to Puntland state leader among other agendas of the meeting include planned 2020 one person one vote elections in Somalia.
Dani invitation to various Somali leaders in Garowe meeting follows just after a similar meeting convened by President Farmaajo to state leaders on national security council failed to take place for an unspecified reason.
