New York (Halbeeg News) – Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has travelled to New York for a high-level meeting at the United Nations General Assembly.
According to Villa Somalia, the conference will focused on Somalia’s security, military reconstruction, and operations against al-Shabaab fighters.
Representatives from 26 countries, the United Nations, the Arab League, the European Union, and the African Union will attend the conference.
The leaders will discuss Progress and Challenges in Somalia’s Security Sector by assessing the current state of Somalia’s security forces in order identify key areas for improvement.
They will also focused on Somalia Security Development and the implementation of the national security architecture.
The conference will explore ways to enhance international cooperation and support for Somalia’s ongoing security and development
efforts.
