Mogadishu, (Halbeeg News) – Federal government of Somalia president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has sent his congratulatory message to Donald Trump on his election victory.
In his message, President Mohamud said he looks forward to working with the new American leaders for the prosperity of the two countries.
“I congratulate you President-elect of the United States of America H.E Donald Trump on your historic election victory. I look forward to continuing our two nations’ strong collaboration and partnership to advance peace, security, and common prosperity for our two nations,” President Mohamud who said on his X account.
In an historic win, Trump, 78, recaptured the White House on after securing more than the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win the presidency.
As of 5:45 a.m. ET (1045 GMT) Trump had won 279 electoral votes to Harris’ 223 with several states yet to be counted.
He also led Harris by about 5 million votes in the popular count.
