MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – A high-level delegation led by Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Sunday evening reached the Eritrean capital, Asmara for a working visit.
The president was welcomed at the Airport by Eritrean counterpart, Isaias Afwerki, according to Villa Somalia.
“President Hassan Sheikh touches down in Asmara, Eritrea, for an official working visit. Upon arrival at Asmara International Airport, the President was warmly welcomed by his counterpart, President Isaias Afwerki of the State of Eritrea,” a brief statement by Villa Somalia reads
President Mohamud is expected to hold talks with Afwerki in the capital before moving to camps of Somali troops who are undergoing training in the country.
The discussion of the two leaders is expected to focus on bilateral relations, security and regional issues.
