ADDIS-ABAB (Halbeeg News) – Somali President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo is expected to meet with the leader of Ethiopia’s Somali Regional State, Mustafa Omer in Addis Ababa.
High-level delegation by President Farmajo arrived in Addis Ababa for Inter-governmental Authority on Development (IGAD) summit slated for today.
The two leaders will hold talks on interests of Somali people who live both Somalia and Ethiopia, according to the Somali Regional State leaders.
Omer was among Ethiopian officials who received President Farmajo and his entourage at the airport in Addis Ababa.
Somali President who left the country for Addis Ababa this morning will attend the 33rd Ordinary Session of the Inter-governmental Authority on Development (IGAD).
The Summit will focus on the discussions the Important decisions with enormous implication for regional peace and stability expected to be made.
Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed, who is the current chairperson of the IGAD, will chair the meeting.
South Sudan, Eritrea and Eritrea-Djibouti issues will be high on the agenda.
Eritrea will rejoin the IGAD and South Sudanese parties are expected to sign the last revitalized peace agreement.
