MOGADISHU ( HALBEEG NEWS) – Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo received letters of credentials from the new ambassadors of Denmark, Ireland, and Poland to Somalia.
The head of state congratulated the new envoys on their new diplomatic roles.
The President assured the support of the Federal Government of Somalia and the Somali people in executing their missions.
“We are glad to intensify our bilateral relations with our partners across the globe. Somalia is indeed proud to revive and strengthen its historical Diplomatic relations which is indeed our friendly nations’ sign of faith in our strategic role in global diplomacy.”
He further stressed the commitment of his administration to strengthen the bilateral ties with partners across the globe.
Reshaping the foreign policy was one of the key pledges made by President Farmajo during his election in February 2017.
Through his direction, the restructuring of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has seen over 40 active diplomatic missions across the globe.
