MOGADISHU ( HALBEEG NEWS) – The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmajo has pledged to immediately appoint a new Prime Minister to guide the country out of the transitional period.
The move comes after the parliament vote out the government in motion no confidence on Saturday. 170 supported the motion.
The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, HE Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed Farmajo, has received a vote of no confidence in the Government of Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire. The President will immediately appoint a Prime Minister who will form a government that will take the country out of this transitional period and strengthens social services in the country.” A statement from Villa Somalia said.
The head of state praised the outgoing premier for his close cooperation and hard work during his tenure in office since March 2017.
“The President thanked Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khaire for his hard work during his tenure and for his good cooperation with the Federal Government of Somalia, and wished him well in his future endeavors.”
