ASMARA (Halbeeg News) – Somali President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has reached the Eritrean capital, Asmara in an unannounced visit on Wednesday.
The head of state and his delegation were welcomed by his counterpart, Essias Afwerki upon arrival at Asmara International Airport.
The two sides are scheduled to hold talks on the bilateral cooperation between the two Cushitic Horn of African states.
The visit is the third trip by Somali leader to Eritrean soil in less than one and a half years.
Somalia, Eritrea together with Ethiopia signed an agreement to cooperate on peace, stability, and economic cooperation in the Horn of Africa region.
