MOGADISHU (Halbeeg News) – Somali prime minister, Mohamed Hussein Roble has announced that he will convene an urgent meeting attended by intellectuals and politicians in the capital.
According to the state-owned media, the prime minister has called for ceasefire saying his government is working on ways to avoid a repeat of the violence in Mogadishu on Sunday.
Earlier today, the prime minister had a consultation meeting in his office with members of civil society.
Roble lauded the civil society’s efforts to resolve the current military in the capital.
The remarks by Somali prime minister comes less than24 hours Somali capital witnessed heavy clashes between Somali forces and Pro-opposition SNA soldiers.
At least seven people including fighters both sides have died in the fighting happened in several areas including K4, Dadabka, Marinnayo and Fagah.
The clashes were condemned by the international community including UN, AU and EU who called immediate ceasefire and dialogue.
